It’s not a secret when we say that dogs are man’s best friend and if you have a furry friend you know they are truly amazing. Always waiting for you at the door when you leave, to later jump for joy when they see you are back. Your dog loves you unconditionally even when it joins you in the most tedious activities.
Now, we also know that millennials are one of the generations that gives a lot to talk about, because of the way they perceive things andthe interactions between them and other generations. However, they represent one of the largest generations out there, with one of the highest percentages of unemployment and a huge amount of debt from school.
While these statistics are far from encouraging, a recent study from Rover.com Canada, showed that 44% of Canadian millennials who participated in the survey see their dog as their child.
In addition, they included other interesting statistics that point out 94% of Canadian millennials see their dog as a family member and 28% of the chosen names are expressly human; hence it is not surprising if you find a dog with your name.
We would love to know if you see and treat your dog as a family member! Do you have a friend or family member who prefers to have a dog instead of a child? Share your thoughts or experiences in the comments section below or via our social media channels.
