The construction of the building that will be the highest in Canada, after the CN Tower, of course, has started at the end of last year and will be located in the heart of the city of Toronto.
Designed by Foster + Partners, “The One” will be an 85-story tower, the first ‘supertall’ skyscraper (defined to be over 300 meters high), since it reaches 306 meters high.
The building will take the title of the second tallest building in Canada, since the CN Tower will remain the first.
It will be located at the corner of Bloor Street and Yonge Street, just between downtown (downtown) and Yorkville, and will represent the coexistence between commercial activity and local life in the area.
Among its 85 levels, 7 will be entirely dedicated to a shopping center, restaurants and even a small hotel of approximately 175 rooms. The next 60 floors will be destined for the development of luxurious apartments and closer to the roof, the amenities will be built.
According to the building’s own designers, this skyscraper does not look like any other in the city, because its structure will be unique and very modern, thus making it the new attraction of the city.
